First chapter of "Before Harry met Lucy" to be published this Saturday the 4th of December

The boys are back, and this time, it's Christmas in London town. The Master runs into a blast from the past, while the Doctor investigates a mysterious painting. Watch out for this next installment of A Timelord and his Madman series, which includes Shakespeare, River Song, a black cat, a portrait of death, boring art parties, and an eccentric lord and his darling daughter.

Shattered worlds chapter 6 COMPLETED

And...it's done! The final chapter of "Shattered Worlds" is posted on fanfictionnet and another story in the A Timelord and his Madman series is once again completed.

Go HERE to read the final chapter.

I'm currently writing chapter 2 of the next instalment, entitled "Before Harry met Lucy" in which the Master and the Doctor travel back in time to investigate the Infinity Corporation that was responsible for kidnapping Rachel. By coincidence (or not), our duo end up in London 2004. So far, the story has Shakespeare, Christmas, alien cabbie drivers, an eccentric lord, 18th century works of art and mr. Bones in it, together with one certain Timelord's exwife.

I'm having great fun writing this one, and hope that it would turn out to be an enjoyable read as well. I'm not sure when the first chapter will be up, but it's planned for December. It all depends on how fast I can write, but I'll keep you guys informed.

Work in progress

With the last chapter of Shattered Worlds finished and about to be posted this weekend, I'm currently working on the next instalment in the Timelord and his Madman series, entitled "Before Harry met Lucy." It's going to be a Christmas story, well at least it takes place around Christmas time, and as you would have guessed, Lucy is going to play a part in it. I'm very happy with myself for I've managed to finish to first chapter today and I am halfway through making the banners. I would like to post the next story in December, with a weekly update of chapters, and aim to publish the big finale around Christmas time. In addition, I may add a present or two under the tree, but what exactly is of course, a secret.

SERIES: A Timelord and his Madman

This fanfiction series is based on the characters of the 10th Doctor and the Master as portrayed by David Tennant and John Simm and follows the events after the twoparter "The End of Time" as written by Russell T Davies. It's non-canon, obviously, since the Master and the 10th Doctor never got to travel together, and the 10th Doctor was forced to regenerate at the end of the specials. In this series, however, the 10th Doctor has survived and went out looking for the Master who had disappeared with the Timelords, supposedly locked with Rassilon in his destruction at the end of the Timewar. Each story reads like an episode, although the first (His Silent Mind) could have perhaps been a two-parter if this was a real broadcasted series. Like a real DW season, it has a story arch, a season plot and subplots per "episode". I hope you'll enjoy reading it, and please don't be discouraged by some of my spelling mistakes (Yep, being not a native English speak does have its downsides). The entire series is archived on fanfictionnet. Each story consists of multiple chapters. You'll find the link to the stories below.

(1) His Silent Mind

In which the Doctor sets out to find the Master after the events of "The end of time". Guided by the remains of the white-point star, he's stranded on a planet balancing at the edge of a blackhole that has been doomed by its creators from the very beginning.

Judoon Justice Chapter 3 coming up

I've just finished chapter 4 (final chapter) for Judoon Justice, and had some time to do a bit of photoshopping. I can't say that this is my favourite hobby, and I rather leave it to the professionals. My head hurts like hell. But the pic I got looked kinda okay, so I'm posting it up to see how it looks like on the blog. The next chapter of Judoon Justice is as promised, this week saturday. However, I'm flying off first thing tomorrow morning to Istanbul for a short holiday and I have no idea if the hotel has any wifi or internet connection. So, maybe I'll post the next chap a little earlier. We'll see.

Judoon Justice Chapter 2

First of all, thank you all for the wonderful reviews! I'm glad you like the story, and I will try my best to keep the posts coming every week. Secondly, I will also start posting the music for this series on my website. Just to keep everything in one place. You'll find the link for the second chapter at the bottom of this post.

Characters: The 10th Doctor, The Master (John Simm), Wilfred Mott, Donna Noble, The Schaduw Architect.

Summary for His Silent Mind:
The 10th Doctor didn't sacrifice himself to save Wilf, because he wasn't there in the final scene to lock himself in the radiation-booth. Some poor, innocent, but highly dispensable white-coat got roasted by the 100 megatons of radiation instead. The Master disappeared with the Timelords, seemingly lost with the others as Gallifrey fell in the final days of the Time war. After sending Wilf home with his family, the Doctor starts to wander alone in the universe, trying to find the Master using the remains of the white point star as a guidance. His quest brings him to a hostile planet that balances on the verge of a blackhole. There he finds the Master in a dark tower where has been imprisoned for the last 2000 years. He has survived the destruction of Gallifrey by the mercy of the Doctor's guarding angel, but has lost his mind after Rassilon cut out the drums from him for retaliation. For the first time since he was a child and had stared in the untempered schism, the Master had experienced something what could be cognized as guilt, and the remorse he had felt for his crimes combined with the solitude he was forced to endure had actually driven him insane. When the Doctor tries to convince him to leave, the Master refuses, knowing that he cannot escape the doomed planet without triggering its destruction and taking the Doctor with him. The Master tricks the Doctor in leaving the planet with his human companions, but the Doctor manages to pull a last minute rescue to free the Master from the tower before the planet is swallowed by the blackhole and is destroyed. However, the Master’s mind has suffered greatly and has deteriorated into a recessive, unconscious state. The Doctor, determined to save his childhood friend, decides to leave the Tardis suspended in time, while he enters the Master’s mind in an effort to bring him back.

Synopsis for Judoon Justice:
Just when the Doctor succeeds to let the Master recover to some form of consciousness, the Tardis is discovered by the fleet of the Shadow Proclamation. Soundtrack His Silent Mind

His silent Mind Soundtrack:

I had this on my author's profile for a while on fanfictionnet while I was writing "His Silent Mind". Since I'm going to start a new series and are probably going to revamp my author's page, I figured I could make a proper soundtrack out of it and post it for someone to enjoy.

For those of you who don't know what I'm rambling about: This soundtrack is linked to this multi-chapter fanfic that I've finished two weeks ago. If you want to read it, go HERE.

Music is like a drug to me. It fuels my imagination and creates the scenes that I describe. For "His Silent Mind", the following tracks were absolutely inspiring.

Track 1: Psychobabble, Imogen Heap

For chapters 1 to 3, particularly the scenes between the Doctor and the Master in the asylum and with the Doctor, the real Doctor, searching alone at the edge of the universe, this brilliant song of Imogen called Psychobabble is all inspiring.

Track 2: Everything for free, K's choice

It's the crazy Master's hypertrack, the Master on a sugar/caffeine rush. Sad and delicious.

Track 3: Speeding Cars, Imogen Heap

For the flashback parts of their time together on Gallifrey, this second song from Imogen called speeding cars springs to mind, which supplied fitting background music for the Master's childhood gone wrong.

Track 4:Lazarus, Sophie Solomon and KT Tunstall

Stranded in no-mans land during the Great War, the Doctor and the Master experience the seize-fire at Christmas Eve. THis song called Lazarus performed by Sophie Solomon and KT Tunstall is as haunting as it is beautiful.

Track 5: Run, Snow Patrol

The Doctor leaves Gallifrey and his childhood friend behind when he runs away from the Academy. Snow Patrol's Run is perfect for the scene when the Master rush back to Graveyard fields, only to find the Doctor about to leave in his newly restored Tardis.

Track 6: Cruel Man, Intwine

Music for the killing fields when the Master completely loses control and can't stop hunting down the Redgrave gang. Called cruel man, this number is from the Dutch band Intwine.

Track 7: A Light that never dies, Sophie Solomon and Ralph Fiennes

In chapter 7 of His silent mind, the dazed Master is citing the lines of a musical piece performed by Sophie Solomon on the violin that is narrated by Ralph Fiennes. Named "A light that never dies." It's absolutely beautiful and bewitching.

Track 8:Bedshaped, Keane

When the Doctor finally finds the Master in chapter 8, the thought of him leading his much troubled friend back to the light is inspired by this song from Keane called Bedshaped.

Track 9: Black hat, Two steps from hell

In chapter 9, the Master takes his revenge on Rassilon, only to find out that the Lord president could be infinitely crueler than fate.

Track 10: My Medea, Vienna Teng

The Gallifreyan prophesy about the fate of the nightmare child that was inscribed on the doors of the entrance to the tower was inspired by the lyrics of this most beautiful song.

Track 11: Mordred's Lullaby, Heather Dale

In chapter 10, the morbid lullaby that the Master kept singing to himself as he faced his demise was inspired by this hauntingly beautiful and equally disturbing song about the only son of Morgan Lefay.

Track 12: Sleeping with Ghosts, Placebo

I actually fell so much in love with this song that I've made a music vid with it. Although the true meaning of the lyrics is not known to me, in my head it kinda describes the Doctor and the Master as soulmates, two brilliant minds, two last children of Gallifrey, both victims of the Timelord counsel's regime, and both facing their fear of death.

Judoon Justice coming up

You might ask what Wilf is doing here.

I'm currently writing the second chapter of "Judoon Justice". A sequel to "His Silent Mind" and part of a series called A Timelord and his Madman.I got Wilf in there, and was writing a big part of his dialogue right now, so that's why he's featuring in this post. I can't get the loveable old geezer out of my head!

The first chapter is roughly finished but still needs some polishing before publication. Expect the new series to begin next week saturday, on the 6th of March. As always, it will be published on fanfictionnet and a message will be cross-posted in my usual hangouts on livejournal. My intension is to post one chapter per week, preferable in the weekends.
